The cost of the engine-end connector is not particularly great, but the cost of field-installable DeviceNET Micro-C connectors is unusually high. ![]() After considering the total costs involved in acquiring all the necessary components to make the cable, the labor involved in assembly of the cable, and the present retail price of a pre-made cable, I decided against making the cables. I have even considered going into small scale production of such cables. I have bought all the parts at lowest possible cost from large electronic distributors ![]() I have located the exact connectors needed to make the cable I have deduced the proper wiring for the cable in question Has anyone else ever tried this? Any idea what the connector on the Engine side is called? Is this a foolish idea, should I just buy the cable It might be a fun project to source the parts, find the schematic and make one myself.
